D237-EARLY TREATMENT

Description:

This course will cover early treatment, and will include the rationale for early treatment , growth considerations, case selection, appliance selection, appliance construction, modification of appliance use with small children, ceph analyzes review, records and diagnostic workshop.  Students will do a work up of their own cases and there will be a review of those cases.  The course will also cover risk management including informed consent, consultation appointments and parent correspondence.  Business aspects of orthodontics are also covered including calculation of fees, fees during two phase  treatment, transferring records when necessary and collections.

OBJECTIVE:

Upon completion of this course, the student should have a though understanding of "state of the art" interceptive treatment.
